Reflective Journal ( Internship phase 1)

                      As  part of BEd internship programming I got Govt. Model Boys Higher Secondary School, Attingal for my teaching practice.

Week 1 (26 Oct 2022-29 Oct 2022)

The first week of my teaching practice began on 26th October 2022 and it was really a  stepping stone  in my teaching career. So, I was thrilled to see me as a teacher in complete form. I planned many things and prepared myself for the successful completion of the internship programme.
    On the first day, I reached the school at 8.50 am and as soon as I reached the school a positive vibe filled in me. And the SNTC team went to sign the Attendance register. Then, I went to see my optional teacher, Soaja ma'am for her instructions. She signed my lesson plan and led me to the class 9.G and I was given the first period to take class.The same week I was asked to engage the students of 8.G. This was my first experience that I found a new person in me and it really made a alien feel in me because now I am the English teacher of 9.G class. Also I began to miss my good old days in school. The sudden transformation from a student to a teacher was mesmerizing. Right from the first day I established a rapport with the students and they all began to see me as their teacher. I was also given duty on School Parliamentary Election to assist Soaja ma'am in Class 9.G. School election was  conducted on Friday. Saturday was a working day for the school to compensate the Diwali leave with Monday's timetable. The very day I went to sign my lesson plans and teaching aids for the next week. So, I had my lunch and got off from the school by 1 pm.
This school experience was completely new to me and that I started enjoying the school days as a teacher and there in the school I became more responsible as a teacher to spread the light of knowledge in students.
