Reflective Journal Week 2 , Phase 1

Week 2 (31 Oct 2022-6 Nov 2022)

The second week of teaching practice began on 31 Oct 2022 and ended on 6 Nov, 2022. On Tuesday, there was special assembly in the school also there was Anti-drug awareness campaign in the school the same day and we all were part of this programme.  We the trainees of SNTC prepared posters, and charts with slogans on Anti-drug awareness and distributed them among students as part of human chain creation. The students formed a human chain and were led to Attingal junction. And meanwhile we conscientized the students about the after effects of using drugs.

This week I observed the biology class of Silpa D.S , where she took class based on homeostasis. After the class I gave her a constructive feedback of her class and I also got some tips from Silpa on classroom management. Also Remya ma'am of SNTC came to observe the class of Maths students on Thursday.

The last two days, Friday and Saturday were Sports days and students were enthusiastic about it and after my first period in 9.G ,the students went to practise their item for Sports day.

INNOVATIVE WORK        The innovative work was made with the intention of teaching grammar through story. The story was given a name, Three Friends✨.Then, the idea of nouns ,verbs and adjectives were transacted using the three characters of the story;Noun, Verb, Adjective.The class was really interesting and the students actively engaged in the class. The students were first of all asked to share their experience about the traditional method of teaching and towards the end of the class their experience changed and gave me a positive feedback regarding the class and they curiously sat in the class with full attention.
