Reflective Journal Week 3 , Phase 1

Week 3 (07/11/2022 to 11/11/2022 )


            The third week of teaching practice began on 7 Nov ,2022 and ended on 11 Nov ,2022. We the SNTC trainees arranged a badge making competition for the students as part of Anti-drugs campaign. And floor mat making classes and demo was conducted. It was a great opportunity to be a part of this. There was School assembly on Thursday and we made the students organize a flash mob as a part of Anti-drug awareness campaign and it was a grand success that the Principal of the SS school appreciated us for the efforts. Students did their best and it was their cooperation which led to the successful completion of the programme . We were given opportunity to serve mid-day meals to students this week too.

This week Reetha ma'am came to the school for observation and she gave us a constructive feedback about our classes.
Also , this week I completed my 20 lesson plans with the support of both the students and teachers. From 14th Nov to 17th Nov the Art Festival is going to be conducted in the school and we were instructed to give our full cooperation to the event .

INNOVATIVE WORK        The innovative work was made with the intention of teaching grammar through story. The story was given a name, Three Friends✨.Then, the idea of nouns ,verbs and adjectives were transacted using the three characters of the story;Noun, Verb, Adjective.The class was really interesting and the students actively engaged in the class. The students were first of all asked to share their experience about the traditional method of teaching and towards the end of the class their experience changed and gave me a positive feedback regarding the class and they curiously sat in the class with full attention.
