Second Phase of Teaching Practice


As part of our second internship I was assigned to do teaching practice at Govt. Model Boy's Higher Secondary School, Attingal.The teaching practice began on 14th of June, 2023.

Week 1 (14/06/2023-16/06/2023)

  This week I began my journey of the second phase of my teaching practice. I entered the school campus of GMBHSS, Attingal with high spirits and a heart full of joy and happiness.This week I went to my class, VIII:E and made a rapport with the students by engaging in some casual talks. I introduced myself to them and they were really happy to see their English teacher.
         Also this week, we were given the charge of discipline duty by the school. So, we served the meal and breakfast for the students. Then, we did the line duty during the evening time and at the end of the day, we made the students go in a line, and got off from the school by 3.45 pm.
         This week, I got many free periods to engage the students of class sixth and seventh. The students asked me to come to their class whenever they got free. Then, for class VIII:E, I introduced the lesson The Mysterious Picture for the students.Also, this week went well with lots of memories for the coming days.

INNOVATIVE WORK        The innovative work was made with the intention of teaching grammar through story. The story was given a name, Three Friends✨.Then, the idea of nouns ,verbs and adjectives were transacted using the three characters of the story;Noun, Verb, Adjective.The class was really interesting and the students actively engaged in the class. The students were first of all asked to share their experience about the traditional method of teaching and towards the end of the class their experience changed and gave me a positive feedback regarding the class and they curiously sat in the class with full attention.

                                            VOCABULARY                      English is a living language and so it is difficult to be precise about the exact number of words in the language. New words are constantly being added while others disappear through lack of use. We each have our own personal vocabulary which is unique to us. Obviously there is a great deal of overlap from one person to another, but the exact set of words that one person has in his vocabulary will be distinct from the next person’s.
